Jeremy Ball’s short film, FROST, Premiers at TIFF

FROST, a Canadian Film Centre Short Film by Jeremy Ball, tells the story of Naya, a young arctic hunter who uncovers a strange world while on the search for food outside of her ancestral hunting grounds. It is the first CFC Short to be shot in an HD format and features over 70 visual effects.

The film, which premiers tomorrow at the Toronto International Film Festival, has been a long time project for Ball.

Tips of the Trade from the CFC Worldwide Short Film Fest

The CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival wrapped up on Sunday, June 10, after a successful week showcasing short films from around the world in a variety of different genres.

The festival also featured several industry panel discussions.

zeeBigBang attended Power Hour: Script to Screen with John Galway from Astral Media’s Harold Greenberg Fund. Panelists Yonah Lewis and Calvin Thomas were given the opportunity to discuss how they went from writing a script for their movie, Amy George, to making a feature length film that has screened at film festivals across North America.
