What better way to spend Good Friday than laughing over pints at a stand-up comedy show.

That’s exactly what zeeBigBang did last Friday at the Empire Comedy Live show at Comedy Bar in Toronto, a small intimate venue that’s never short of laughs.

The show featured talented up and coming comedians including Monty Scott, Steph Tolev of LadyStache (who will be performing at the L.A. Comedy Festival), Andrew Ivimey, Pradeep Nair, Amanda Brooke Perrin, Luke Gordon Field and Ian Macintyre (of the infamous Rock, Paper, Scissors ads you may have seen on TTC subways).

Overall, the night was filled with jokes; some were inappropriate, some were awkward, and some were just a little “too-soon,” though we mean that in the best way possible.

If you think you’re funny and you’re brave enough to try out stand-up comedy, Comedy Bar hosts an open-mic night every Tuesday in April. So if you think you have what it takes, arrive by 9pm tonight to put your name in the lottery (only 4 spots available per week).
